Imperial Tent Company Terms & Conditions

TERMS: All orders are 50% down with order and balance due before shipment. C.O.D. orders are not accepted.

PAYMENT: We We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Cashier’s Checks, Money Orders, Bank Wire Transfer and personal or business checks. All personal and business checks will be held a minimum of 10 days or until cleared. Shipment may be held until personal or business checks clear.

CREDIT POLICY: Credit approval is based upon information submitted by the customer. This credit is then adjusted based upon payment history with Imperial Tent Company.

CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES: Cancellations of custom orders will result in the loss of deposit. Cancellations and changes may be submitted prior to the order of materials and production. Any cancellations or changes after this time may be subject to a proportionate charge.

SHIPPING YOUR ORDER: Orders are shipped F.O.B. Coldwater, Ohio. Imperial Tent Company will select the carrier unless the customer designates a carrier with the order. Imperial Tent Company has no control over the timely delivery of the shipment and we cannot guarantee that a shipment will be delivered on time as promised by the carrier.

We have great service from the trucking companies we deal with. However, sometimes shipping damage can occur. Once the merchandise has been accepted by the carrier, free of damage, Imperial Tent Company’s liability for damages incurred in transit cease. The customer is responsible for inspecting merchandise for damages incurred in transit. These damages should be noted on the form the driver gives you to sign accepting delivery. Failure to do so makes it extremely difficult to make a claim. It is the customer’s responsibility to file damage or shortage claims with the carrier. This should be handled as soon as possible.

We make every effort to ship your order in a timely manner. You will be notified of our lead time when you place your order.

You will also be given a shipping and handling quote based on current rates. If you place your order by fax or mail we will call you back with your shipping and handling quote.

TRUCK FREIGHT ORDERS: Truck drivers are subject to a number of regulations, one of which is that they are not required to give assistance unloading. Please be prepared for this “curbside” delivery, as you are responsible for unloading the item(s) and placing them in your shop. This normally takes a couple of “friends”. Your location must be tractor-trailer accessible. If not, we recommend that you make arrangements with the trucking company to take delivery at the freight terminal if you can. They will load it onto your vehicle. Make sure your vehicle is capable of handling the weight. Also, bring plenty of tie downs to properly secure the load.

Some terminals have other delivery services available, such as lift gate service, for an additional cost. These services vary from terminal to terminal. You are responsible for these additional costs.

RETURNS: Return authorization number must be received from Imperial Tent Company prior to returning merchandise. Merchandise must be returned in original packing (banded & shrink wrapped to original skid), freight prepaid, with RA number. If claim is deemed justified, Imperial Tent Company will refund or credit all shipping charges. Cancelled orders will result in a 25% restocking fee and merchandise must be returned in new, unused condition, banded & shrink wrapped to original skid. Improper packaging will result in additional fees. Returns must be received within 30 days of the original ship date.

WARRANTY: Material and workmanship are warranted for a period of 1 year to the original purchaser from the date of purchase. Exclusions from this include defects due directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, alterations, lack of maintenance, wind, rain and other forces of nature. Warranty is also void when Imperial Tent tops are not used with Imperial Tent poles.

WARNING: This product has been manufactured for use as a temporary structure and does not meet structural code. For safety purposes, evacuation is strongly recommended in case of threatening weather, or if there is doubt concerning the safe use of this product. Imperial Tent Company is not responsible for accidents, injury or property damage due to the improper use or installation of these products. Since the weather is unpredictable, it is the sole responsibility of the tent installer to use common sense in determining the severity of the wind/weather conditions, proper time and method of installation AND disassembly of the tent and/or sidewalls. The installer of the tent is solely responsible for evaluating the site, soil & weather conditions and proper securing method determined. Imperial Tent’s responsibility is limited to the construction of the tent. We are not responsible for methods that the installer may choose to secure the tent to the ground and for inclement weather and windy conditions.

SUBJECT TO CHANGE: This information is accurate to the best of our knowledge. Sometimes errors do occur and we apologize for them. We reserve the right to make changes and correct errors to products and specifications at any time. We also reserve the right to change pricing. Thank you for your understanding.
